Course Description (课程介绍):
黑发不勤学早，白首方悔读书迟，
豆蔻少年未来期，最多的是读书汉文时。
三年级是初中级汉语课程。通过在中文学校学习1-2班或通过其他相关经验，学生已经掌握了基础拼音汉语知识。本课程将涵盖广泛的材料，包括词汇和语法。学生将学习阅读和写中文，并学习写中文。此外，该课程将中国文化巴基斯坦语言学习，以加深对文化对语言影响的理解。
第三册为初级中等程度汉语教学用书。学生必须具备基本的普通话读写能力，有一定的学习拼音和汉语的基础，二年以上的汉语学习经历，教学历程为标准普通话教学。
三年级教材为《中国暨南大学华文学院编》课本及练习册本册课本共四个单元，十二课学生除完成课本的学习内容外，还要复习以前所学的词汇及语法知识，本学期将学习四个单元，共十二课，每一课书以认生字为主，一字一前乾坤的讲，并读课文;跟随课文深入学习组词，熟读课文教学中学习新字时要举一反三，学习一些不同部首的相近字，并要求学生准确地发出每个字的读音，及声调。

Objectives (教学目标):
熟读课文，熟悉生词，会自己组词用词，组句用句。
Read the text, familiar with the new words, will be able to group words, group sentences with sentences.
Teaching Methods (教学方法):
引导学生进行简单的预习工作: 1. 圈出生字词；2. 标出自然段；3. 读课文；
学生可以进行简单的批注和笔记（书面整洁度可以影响作业的成绩是否加分）
让学生培养出独立思考的能力，比如自己组词用句会写简单的句段。
让学生懂得用自己的语言进行表达和分析
Guide the students to do simple preview work: 1. Circle the unacquainted words; 2. Highlight paragraphs; 3. Read the text;
Students can make simple annotations and notes (written cleanliness can affect the grade of the assignment or not)
Let the students develop the ability to think independently, such as making up their own words and using sentences to write simple sentences.
Let students know how to express and analyze in their own language
Student/Parent Responsibilities (学生，家长责任义务):
按时完成家庭作业，每周日上课前上交，保证学生做好课前预习准备，每节课都会有课堂小测
保证学生不迟到，考勤算150个分数点占总成绩的28%，特殊原因可以原谅包括生病，家庭重要事件和紧急情况，但不包括交通堵塞。迟到15分钟后算缺勤。满勤的学生会有额外的10个分数点和小奖励。
Complete homework on time and turn it in before the class begin on every Sunday to ensure that students are well prepared for pre-class preparation. There will be classroom quizzes in every class
Students are guaranteed not to be late, attendance counts for 150 points accounting for 28% of the total grade, special reasons can be forgiven including illness, important family events and emergencies, but not traffic jams. 15 minutes late counts as an absence. Students with full attendance will receive an additional 10 points and a small reward.

Calendar (教学进度表):
Tampa Bay Chinese School's 2024 fall semester commences on August 18th, with the first day of school and open registration.
• Classes will be held every Sunday, except for Labor Day weekend on September 1st and Thanksgiving weekend on November 24th.
• The semester will conclude on December 15th with a special end-of-semester event and awards ceremony.
• Additionally, daylight saving time ends on November 3rd, resulting in a time change from 2 am to 1 am.
• Please note that there will be no classes on December 8th due to USF's final exams from December 7th to 12th.
